Since 1985

The AIDV was founded in 1985  by a group of lawyers who were involved in the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) including its then-current Director General, with the view of establishing an independent organisation that could provide legal advice to the OIV. Over the following years, the AIDV evolved into an international organisation which has the goals of “providing a forum for studies and debates on legal questions affecting the wine community and wine trade throughout the world.
