Often these meetings are coupled with other international wine events or conferences as well as with the Association's Annual General Assembly. The AIDV by-laws allow for the establishment of regional sections upon approval by the Board of Directors. This enables regional activities on a regional basis which can address regional concerns. At least one board member must sit on the regional section's governing body. The following regional sections have been created: Australasia Europe Italy Scandinavia United States.
